Dr. Minje Choi


Background

Dr. Minje Choi is a Research Professor at the University of Seoul, where he also earned his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering (Aug. 2023). He is currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge, conducting research under the supervision of Prof. Li Wan. He serves as a member of Korea’s National Committee for Designating Autonomous Vehicle Pilot Operation Zones, contributing to national R&D strategies and mobility policy development. In recognition of his contributions to smart city research and innovation, Dr. Choi received the Minister of Education Award of the Republic of Korea in 2025.



Research Topic

Examining the urban and behavioral impacts of GTX-A (Great Train eXpress) in Korea through big-data analysis of LG U+ telecommunication records, focusing on travel behavior changes and land value dynamics
