Shan has been an MPhil student in Land Economy since 2022. She is interested in the role of state-owned investment and development enterprises in land financing and urban development. Before studying at Cambridge, she obtained a master’s degree in Human Geography at East China Normal University and a bachelor’s degree in Urban Management at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. Her previous work includes urban land use, social justice in the built environment, and spatial differentiation of housing wealth.
